Our Prayers are with your family at this time. Mardell was a beautiful Child of God, so kind and always a smile. I would like to share this David Harkin's qoute "You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”

Mardell was a person who had a wonderful philosophy of life; a loving and devoted wife and mother. We will miss her smile and her ability to go where life led her. She lived her life gracefully and graciously. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Godspeed Mardell! Janet and Cliff Joens

Judy, Mike, Kraig and Kristi, I am so sorry to hear this. I will certainly miss our phone conversations. I am so glad I got to visit with her in church a couple months ago. We ate brunch together and had a good visit with lots of catching up to do! Don't think I will be able to come to the funeral but know that I am certainly thinking of you all. A classmate of '52.
